Ya'll are full of crap.  It won't corrode a barrel as bad but it will darn sure corrode one if left fouled for any amount of time! This is twice now it has corroded mine pretty bad. First chance I get, I'm going to a smokeless. I'll bet Lumpy could write you a check for a million dollars and you'd beech about it being in the wrong colored ink....
