I don't know if it's possible to run a gasoline engine for 20 years of "hard use" without changing the oil simply because it would never occur to me to try it.
I've worked on & rebuilt engines for over 30 years & fully understand the importance of lubrication and the effects of heat, wear, dirt, and condensation on oil.
I work hard to buy my toys & to abuse it like that would never begin to make sense to me, and even less to brag about it, but hey, you do what you enjoy, just don't ever bother to offer to sell me something that you maintained. Nothing BigJack says ever makes any sense. He's one of those guys on this forum that make me wonder if they do it on purpose. I mean who could be that stupid? Oh well, no law against being stupid. Or thick. Maybe he's just thick.

My dad was NO mechanic when I was growing up, so we ran a Honda big red for prob 10 years without ever changing the oil or blowing out the air filter. If it even had one back then. We sold it and bought a 4 wheeler, but it was running fine when we sold it. Now that I pay for things, I can't imagine not keeping the oil and filters cleaned out. I bet there are more atv's that never have their oil changed than do.

Why wouldn't you take 5 minutes and $6 worth of oil to maintain something that could leave you walking back home for miles? I just don't get it.
And with the Honda Rincon, it uses the oil as transmission fluid and even has it's own little torque converter.

bet the choke cable doesn't work, and the gas tank is rusted. Thats funny. I got a Recon 250 and the choke cable doesnt work but it's not old enough to have a rusted tank. Those bad about rusting ??
My Trail Cam history to save you money: 3 DLC Coverts II=After 3 years 2 still work and in the woods. 1 DLC Covert Extreme TL= Great cam. 1 Covert Reveal 2 Bushnell TC=Both repaired, one of them twice. Less than a year old.
