I'm wanting an electric cart for hunting but I'm trying to weigh my options. I know it's pretty high to replace the batteries and was wondering how long I could expect to go between battery changes. If anyone has one and can tell me I would sure appreciate it!

Wasn't it a bad boy buggy that guy was posting about ? The one that couldn't get them to repair the thing ?

depends on load weight and how you ride it! If I load mine down with # ppl or haul azz everywhere the charge doesn't last as long on mine! IF just me and I cruise around it last much longer! I have 48 V lifted club car!

So it may be smarter just to buy an EZ Go. They're less than half the price. The hybrid I priced last week was freaking 16k

Lithium Polaris ranger supposedly gets 60 miles per charge and batteries last 10 years.

I got 2 years out of the batteries on my BBB. Of course, they said that I didn't do this and I didn't do that. BS!!!!!

I've had a regular lifted cart, a BBB and currently own a BBB. I've never had the nightmare's that you hear from others. I'm sure just like anything, there's going to be some bad ones in the bunch - maybe BBB does have more than others I suppose. But there's so many club cars and ez-go's out there, it's no big deal when they blow up. People buy a "specialty" cart like the BBB and there's that niche market using them - by golly you are going to hear about it when there's a problem. I'm sure there's a fair number of folks that have had issues with the plain lifted carts.
So, that being said, I would say depending voltage, type/age of batteries, controller type, 2wd vs 4wd, hills/flat, etc - ie lots of different factors - you can get probably 8-15 miles on a full charge. The way they "judge" the life of golf cart batteries is if they can get two rounds of golf out of them.
I've personally never drained any of mine completely to the point where I was broke down. I usually plug it in overnight, go hunt or whatever in the morning, maybe plug it in for a few hours during the day or maybe just an hour while I'm grabbing lunch or something, then go hunt with it that evening. As far as lifetime of batteries - I'd say the average is around 3 years.
