Very true and very sad. Sleazebags win and everyone else loses. Even the winners.

It isn't the attorneys fault. Yeti hired them. Seems like everyone is pro capitalism except when it comes to attorneys or doctors.

They've improved their wait times, perhaps only temporarily at least on some items. Order a tan RTIC 20 cooler & it'll ship tomorrow. White one will take longer.

I will say though, their free shipping is not fast shipping. I received a tan RTIC 20 last week. Solid cooler and solid deal, no two ways about it.

I received my rtic tumblers 4 days after I ordered them and my 65`s 12 days after placing order. I didn't think shipping time was too bad.

Yeti is done. Their product is way overpriced. They have moved prices up in the face of competition and allowed all these seemingly hundreds of coolers companies pop up over night....

That was the wrong move in pricing in a virtually open market. They clearly don't know what they are doing. They had a good run and will walk with fat pockets though.

There have been lawsuit rumors since RTIC and other competitors released their products. Yeti will be fine and there is a reason you can buy their products at clothing stores in Mtn Brook.... RTIC works just fine for me and I prefer their bag cooler over the Yeti. I don't think wait times are an issue anymore as they have actual inventory in the US and you aren't waiting for the next container to ship from China.

RTIC's shipping times are getting shorter and shorter. I think that's what has Yeti more nervous than anything now. Yeti's biggest appeal now is 1.)Status and 2.)gotta have it right now. RTIC probably doesn't care about 1, and is becoming a bigger and bigger threat to 2 with each passing month.

If you've GOT to have a Yeti, buy a Yeti. If you've GOT to have it right now, buy a Yeti. If you don't mind not getting what you pay for (pay for a 45qt, get a 37 qt...or pay for a 65qt, get a 57qt), buy a Yeti.

If you want a cooler that rates as high or higher than a Yeti (in independent tests) for half the price and no tax, and don't mind a wait, get an RTIC. If you want to get what you pay for (order a 45 qt, get a 45 qt...order a 65qt, get a 65qt), order an RTIC.

I love having choices.

Which independent tests show RTIC performing better?

Yeti is here to stay for several reasons. Yeti will soon offer publicly traded stock. They have major private equity investor backing. And they are launching in international markets.

No matter- got my RTIC and love it. YETI has a good marketing company , but a way overpriced cooler. Economics don't work out in the long run as competitors enter market.

Same here...I love my softside 30 from RTIC.

Some folks here act like it's hurting their feelings that RTIC is cutting into Yeti's sales.

Like I said before....I love having choices.

It's kind of like when gas prices started going down and everyone started crying because Chevron might lose a billion or two. I haven't heard of anyone on here donating to the Chevron employees GoFundMe page, have you? laugh

I got my rtic 65 and couldn't be happier. If they do go out of business I'll buy as many as I can so I don't have to pay the price for a yeti. Yeti makes a good product don't get wrong however, if I can get something just as good for half I'm going to.

I have no problem with RTIC and I hope they end up driving Yeti prices down. But, they are not going to run them out of business. If that was the case, we wouldn't have Mercedes, BMW and the like. You can get a Toyota every bit as nice BMW, but you don't see BMW as going out of business.

You guys want to brag about how long your truck last, or your Honda atv. But, have no problem buying a piece of shucks cooler and replacing it every year.

As for RTIC, they are never going to run Yeti out of business, because they can't provide a product in a timely manner.

Love my 65 too. When you travel for a living and live out of a cooler it's an investment that pays for itself.
