I had a state biologist tell me we should all plant our plots in the middle of or late October ,,,,, said his come up real good in Oct,,, think of it ,,,just around Halloween or the night of the rains come,,,

I planted mine last Thursday when it rained, I hope I didn't waste my time and money. There's a slight chance of rain again for this Thursday, I sure hope we get it!

Gonna put seed out Saturday and hope for the best. Only have one spot to plant anyway.

I'm planting this weekend, but I'm in SW Alabama. I've heard it said - plant by 9/15 or go ahead and wait until 11/1. I tend to plant in the last two weeks of October. I'm not a big food plot hunter myself. I like the woods, clear cuts, or edges.

yep... would be the first time in 20 years for us (that's when we started planting). Put out seed on the 15th with hopes of getting rain from the front that came thru last Thur. Barely got a drizzle. Two miles away they got 4/10". really sucks that this was the year we re-planted our clover fields...not cheap
