Like you, I think he is capable. I think he will get some stuff done. But I'm also going to wait and see what he actually does. It will be interesting to play out, that is for sure. I'm willing to admit I'm not on the Trump Train, as far as him as a person. But I think, I hope, he will be a capable leader.

Let me spell this out for you and outdoor obsession. People your age have frak-Ed our country. Your life experiences have taught both of you plenty, that I don't know. How to pick an elected official is not one of those things. You and the rest of baby boomers have an awful track record. All of the problems we face today, are your failures. Your generation has saddled me with an enormous weight on my back. Not only are the few tax payers my age loaded down with regulation, a shitty economy, and a massive tax load, we face a mountain of medical bills and social security checks that we will be responsible for. As your generation ages (I'm sure you are already taking advantage of it) our burden will increase, and as you all die off, we are left holding the bag. I'm not hopeful that my generation will do any better, but we are too screwed to start with, to ever know.

not really, I'm grouping the two of them with other right leaning voters who have watched our society degrade to this point, over their lifetimes. When government health care is out of your life. Along with being taxed to death, plus some new 20,000 additional government regulations that Barry signed into action. And a bunch of illegals are stopped from living off of your social security that you have payed in you should stop and hold your nose and thank Donald Trump.

simply because I have reservations, doesn't mean I don't want him to succeed. Expecting him to magically make good on most of his campaign promises is a little out there though. Boy, you knew all about this election too didnt you? Ole Trump had no chance in your opinion. However a lot of us older then you remember Carter/Reagan. The media said Reagan had no chance either. But he did..he won..just like TRUMP did. How did we know that was going to happen? EXPERIENCE kid. Wisdom of past years, similiar situations..and similiar results. The american people were angry..and they were going to make a change. Its called a CHANGE election for that very reason.

Unlike you..they have experience based on not just IDEAS..but the REALITY of what has happened in the past. History..experience, the wisdom you get as you age.

When I was young..we were taught to respect and Learn from our elders..people who had LIVED and EXPERIENCED way more then us.

Now we have a generation that thinks they know it all from reading it on the INTERNET. Because we all know it you find it there..it has to be true.

It reminds me of a young guy I hunted with..he knew it all too. From experience..no..but because he read all about it in magazines and on the internet. Never shot a good buck his entire life..still hasnt. But boy..hed argue all about big bucks with myself and a couple of guys that were big buck killers.
He would tell them what they were doing wrong...but would he ever listen? Heck no. Because when you KNOW IT ALL..or think you do, then you can NEVER learn.

I guess its been maybe 8 years since youve even been able to think as an adult,(if youre 25), employee any process of critical thinking that wasnt centered around chasing chicks in school and playing sports etc.

But I guess youve learned a lifetime of knowledge in that short time. More then people with a couple of college DEGREES, and 30 -40 years of critical thinking, experience, etc.

Also, dont take offense ..it is a thing that happens all the time with young guys. I know..Im the father of a kid your dam age.

However, one thing he doesnt do is disrespect his elders or go on at length about how he knows everything. And hes got 2 4yr degrees with honors and is going to law school.
But hes learned critical thinking..as the LSAT's are all about critical thinking, and he realizes book learning, youth and piss and vinegar..doesnt equal EXPERIENCE and the WISDOM of age..

I think if you didnt argue so much, tried to learn and listen..youd be alot better off. One thing I taught my kid..is you DONT learn by TALKING..you learn by listening.
