What I meant was that what you said might actually be possible because although I disagree with his politics I don't think he's unethical.

I held my nose and voted for him yesterday, but that hasn't changed my opinion of him based on his history. I think he is a very capable person, I'm simply not convinced of his intentions. I really hope that I'm wrong and most of you are right. We will have to wait and see on that end.
Either way, some of y'all need a reality check. I'm seeing all these claims of what he's going to do, what he will accomplish. Any real positive improvements will take multiple president's contributions. If he can get one or two policies implemented, he will be highly successful. Like you, I think he is capable. I think he will get some stuff done. But I'm also going to wait and see what he actually does. It will be interesting to play out, that is for sure. I'm willing to admit I'm not on the Trump Train, as far as him as a person. But I think, I hope, he will be a capable leader. I don't have a reason to be convinced of that, YET.

No little boy you need to grow up. You're 25 yrs old. You know nothing. Boo Hoo I feel your pain. The reality check is yours. I've held my tongue with you because of your health. I've gone so far as to put you on ignore. Congratulations, you're the only one. Your response, lacking in substance and personally attacking me, spells out the kind of person you are. Your posts constantly speak volumes about you. I had hoped that you simply were in so much pain that you have a chit attitude. I question that now. Let me spell this out for you and outdoor obsession. People your age have frak-Ed our country. Your life experiences have taught both of you plenty, that I don't know. How to pick an elected official is not one of those things. You and the rest of baby boomers have an awful track record. All of the problems we face today, are your failures. Your generation has saddled me with an enormous weight on my back. Not only are the few tax payers my age loaded down with regulation, a shitty economy, and a massive tax load, we face a mountain of medical bills and social security checks that we will be responsible for. As your generation ages (I'm sure you are already taking advantage of it) our burden will increase, and as you all die off, we are left holding the bag. I'm not hopeful that my generation will do any better, but we are too screwed to start with, to ever know. So, screw off with the age stuff. You've proven over your lifetimes that you don't know a damn thing about picking a president.

He was definitely the best choice, but I really worry that he might believe in the trickle down economics theory.
If he does believe that really works for the middle class, we are in big trouble in 4 years. Probably going to be in worse shape than we are now if that ends up being his strategy. I feel like he knows that can't be the sole strategy, so there is some hope. Did you really say this? What liberal idjit you been listening too?

It's been a constant downhill trend through their voting careers. If they want to demean me about my age, regardless of substance, I'll classify them by theirs, with substance.

When government health care is out of your life. Along with being taxed to death, plus some new 20,000 additional government regulations that Barry signed into action. And a bunch of illegals are stopped from living off of your social security that you have payed in you should stop and hold your nose and thank Donald Trump.

I voted for him. If he does all that, I'll like the guy. simply because I have reservations, doesn't mean I don't want him to succeed. Expecting him to magically make good on most of his campaign promises is a little out there though. And honestly, we can't handle that abrupt of a change. Whatever happens with illegals needs to be phased in, same with bringing jobs back.

You've proven over your lifetimes that you don't know a damn thing about picking a president. Anger issues much? LOL..a lot you know about past presidents. We voted in Reagan..who was a good president. You must have been indoctrinated early in life to think any otherwise. Clinton worked WITH repubs, and on 9/11 Bush was a hero. Also, the 80s and 90s were actually great years economically. People, businesses and personal wealth grew...but forget all that..just believe what youve been spoon fed by the liberal educators and media...we LIVED it. And dont blame us for the chitty economy..look around you and blame your PEERS, those are the idiots who voted for Obozo..not us. I think you are the typical know it all young 25 yr that thinks the rest of us owe him something, thinks he knows EVERYTHING, way more then his elders and has NO RESPECT for his elders. You come across as an arrogant know it all who thinks he knows more about life, politics, hunting and just about everything else , then people who have done it A LOT longer..while you dont know CHIT. Still in college..but you know it all. SMDH. Typical millenial. You talk about attacking someone over their age..but then you do the same thing too. Boy, you knew all about this election too didnt you? Ole Trump had no chance in your opinion. However a lot of us older then you remember Carter/Reagan. The media said Reagan had no chance either. But he did..he won..just like TRUMP did. How did we know that was going to happen? EXPERIENCE kid. Wisdom of past years, similiar situations..and similiar results. The american people were angry..and they were going to make a change. Its called a CHANGE election for that very reason. Unlike you..they have experience based on not just IDEAS..but the REALITY of what has happened in the past. History..experience, the wisdom you get as you age. When I was young..we were taught to respect and Learn from our elders..people who had LIVED and EXPERIENCED way more then us. I took that seriously. Now we have a generation that thinks they know it all from reading it on the INTERNET. Because we all know it you find it there..it has to be true. It reminds me of a young guy I hunted with..he knew it all too. From experience..no..but because he read all about it in magazines and on the internet. Never shot a good buck his entire life..still hasnt. But boy..hed argue all about big bucks with myself and a couple of guys that were big buck killers. He would tell them what they were doing wrong...but would he ever listen? Heck no. Because when you KNOW IT ALL..or think you do, then you can NEVER learn. I guess its been maybe 8 years since youve even been able to think as an adult,(if youre 25), employee any process of critical thinking that wasnt centered around chasing chicks in school and playing sports etc. But I guess youve learned a lifetime of knowledge in that short time. More then people with a couple of college DEGREES, and 30 -40 years of critical thinking, experience, etc. Also, dont take offense ..it is a thing that happens all the time with young guys. I know..Im the father of a kid your dam age. However, one thing he doesnt do is disrespect his elders or go on at length about how he knows everything. And hes got 2 4yr degrees with honors and is going to law school. But hes learned critical thinking..as the LSAT's are all about critical thinking, and he realizes book learning, youth and piss and vinegar..doesnt equal EXPERIENCE and the WISDOM of age.. I think if you didnt argue so much, tried to learn and listen..youd be alot better off. One thing I taught my kid..is you DONT learn by TALKING..you learn by listening. Sorry my one little comment about age set you off. I have seen you can be pretty thin skinned. But you made this very thread LOOKING for a reaction JUST to be argumentive IMO. Well whatever..good luck and one more thing...its time to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

A lot of buttercup, whining , know it all, has to be their way kids these days. Its sad.

How the 18-25 year old voted, sad [img:center] [/img] EXACTLY! And right there is the future of America...but Atoler wants to blame us older folks. And hes gonna have to support us? I guess the 41 years I paid over 20% of my income into Social Security and Medicare was for fun? So I could use it for maybe 5 - 10 years after I retire..which the age has gone up constantly?? Ill be maybe 70 before I can collect...and might live 5-10 years. But wait..I forgot..he knows it all. I better thank him in advance in case I get Alzheimer and forget to.
