He was an incredible fighter and we were blessed to be his parents. He had fought a long, hard battle with this disease and we know that he is in a better place. This is one of my favorite pictures with Porter. This was taken a couple days after his diagnosis. We knew his disease would never allow him to grow up and hunt with me and I wanted to get him in the woods at the hunting land and take some pictures. It was a freezing cold day in February but I'm so glad we have these pictures to cherish. I killed a buck not far from where this picture was taken the following season and I've always told my wife that was Porter's buck. I hope to take time and write that story down pretty soon. Little memories like these are so special to us.
