Anybody hunting choccolocco today? If so has there been much shooting? I don't know anybody that did...all of my texting buddies were either at Pelham Range or Hollins today. I do know of two guys who hunted and shot at / killed bucks chasing does up there this past week though. I'll be there Friday! Congrats AU!!

The joys of having to work for a living... im on night shift right now and had to work last night and tonight. The worst part was how beautiful it was down here this morning and really all day. Not much wind to speak of at all and an overall beautiful day.

Congrats Stone and AU!!
I saw nothing this afternoon but I had a pig 30 yards away who was singing and talking to himself for 30 minutes. It was hilarious. He was 20 yards into the canes and I was on the ground so I never saw him. I assume it was a him because it was just one pig.
Edit: Since I started using my range ears, I can hear about normal so it's really changed my hunting. I would have never heard that pig or the two nannys this morning.

Saw 13 this afternoon. Watched a 3 year old 8 point for about 40 mins. About 17 wide with short tines and not much mass. Saw a 1.5 old 8 point and after it was too dark to shoot saw a big racked buck but couldnt see my crosshairs. He was too far and it was too late. Rest does and yearlings.
