131 3/8 I am 31 years old and killed my first deer when I was 8 years old. That's 23 years I've been waiting to kill a deer like this. Especially a buck that I've had 3 years history with. I first saw him in the 14/15 season and I suspect he was 3 year old 7pt with a crab claw looking point earning him the name Jameis Winston. Think he showed back up in 15/16 as a possible 4 year old 8pt keeping his name sake crab claw 3's This year 16/17 I get tons of velvet pictures of him in his bachelor group in a fresh cutover, and I felt good about getting him this year since he made a pretty open area his home. Fast forward to yesterday. The wind was right and it was the coldest day we had this year and I knew this buck was in the cutover often so i figured maybe he would move before dark since it was so cold. Well sure enough about 5 he steps into the cutover about 100 yards away and I know immediately it's him. I got my gun up and put it on him and was shaking to bad to make the shot so I take my eye outta the scope and calm down for a second and he walks back in to the edge of the woods. I'm freaking out thinking I blew my opportunity and it seemed like he disappeared for a minute or 2 , but thank goodness I was able to pick him up again just inside the wood line and that was all she wrote. Shot one and he hunched up and starts arch back walking away so i shucked another and fired again and he fell like a rock! Praise the Lord for letting this deer walk out in front of me tonight. My first wall hanger in 23 years of deer hunting.

Nice job, beautiful deer, and cool history!

Nice one, but I expected this to be about a football player.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

That's great to have the history and watch him grow. Glad you finally got him. Congrats
I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.
