Wow! Glad I haven't spent $50 on my permit. Once the deer/vehicle interactions reach untenable levels something will give ... I hope.

Hate to hear this. I hunted with a retired military buddy out there a few years ago and had talked about going back. Could you take a pic of map and send to me?

The map is on the internet. Go to Redstone MWR and outdoor recreation. I mean did a new safety analysis prompt the closures? And I think with all the coyotes hunting isn't needed to reduce the deer herd.

I've been telling you all for several yrs. New (updated) IMCOM safety regulations. Not gonna get any better either. You're gonna see more changes (non-hunting related) around post in the near future also.

Is it still safe to work out there?

The FBI will be occupying 1500 acres total in all 4 quadrants of Redstone in the near future and I'm sure that will impact access to any area that they build in. Add in all the testing that has been ramped up in recent years and lots of access is lost.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Been kinda behind the curve wmd. I'll talk to you about it sometime. New tenants also have much different security requirements also.

Embrace the suck. I'm sure the same folks who have closed many areas believe in door-knob condoms to prevent the spread of germs. Or a 3-man buddy system when folks go on leave. Can't be too safe. Stupid-ass army mentality.

New map came out, not much left! I wonder what the story is for the big change? Where's it at? I still see the 2015/16 version.

Gotta be sure and protect the hunters from that dangerous blast arc area down where 52 and the 51E used to be for instance! Non-hunting civilians that can drive down those damn roads whenever they get ready are just chit out of luck. They'll just have to deal with missing limbs I guess. Stupidest bunch of chit I've ever seen in my life.

A friend tells me Outdoor Rec will refund the $50. Also told me there are 300 paid hunters this year. I had no idea there were that many. I think a meeting to explain what happened is the least Outdoor Rec should do.

They're having a hunters safety class in about 20 minutes.

dbh1956, there used to be around 700 hunters registered back in the day as they say.
