Just got settled in here in walker co. Set up between some pines and a pretty good size oak section. No one has been back in this area and i walked in blind so maybe they will be passing through

I'm back on the same stand I killed the buck on on Wednesday. Hasn't been hunted since then and should be getting pretty close to full rut here.

I wasn't planning on hunting this morn, but I ended up waking up early so I got in the stand right at sunrise. Cool windy morning overlooking a cutover. Had 6 does/fawns in front of me as soon as I got set up.

Set up in a little pocket of thinned pines our deer seems to be locked down haven't seen one since Wednesday and have put in some long hours in the stand. Maybe this cooler weather will get them on their feet.

We haven't been seeing squat here lately in the mornings, so I tried a new spot. I'm hoping to catch some deer moving in the pine thickets just off of a foodplot.

I'm in a little neck of woods with couple fields on either side. Prolly move further down the neck later in morning. I can hear the lake duck hunters banging away in distance. Some pretty strong volleys.

“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”

On the distance I like to walk to my stands:
“The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

I haven't seen a hair here which is strange because I usually have seen quite a few by now.

Watching a 300 yd firebreak clearcut on one side and hardwoods on the other. Nothing but a hen feeding for about 20 mins.

I had a doe and a fawn come into the field at 7:30 and feed for 20 minutes. They cut down through the pines headed south

On a grown up firebreak between a head-high cutover and big hardwood ridge. Saw a pretty decent six-point right after daylight, five does and a spike about 730, and another spike just now.

We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.
