I've been out shootin bows for about 10 yrs now and have no idea what the latest and greatest. My youngest daughter is wanting a bow for Christmas and I'd like to get her a quality but affordable package to see how she likes it. I figure she will be able to pull 40 lb to start with. Suggestions?

If she can pull 40 pounds she is pretty stout.

I would look at Mission Craze II. My son shoots one as do several of his friends. It adjust draw length from something like 18 inches to 30 inches and draw weight from 12-70 pounds. Very good bow.

Diamond Edge Pro, Draw length 13-31 in. Draw weight 5-70 Lbs. the bow weighs like 3.3 Lbs and is only 31 in. long.
