Wow Actually, to be fair, I don't know if that has ever been confirmed or not, but I know a lot of big sportswriters have given that as an answer to why he hasn't been considered for some big name jobs, particularly in the South.

He's not a scientologist. All that started because there is some b-list actor in Hollywood named Chris Peterson that is one.
Petersen was tied to the Northwest (supposedly) because he had a kid with some special medical needs where the best care for him was in the Boise area. The kid has supposedly gotten better, and that's what precipitated his move to Washington. He had previously been approached by Stanford when Harbaugh left, as well as UCLA.
I'm pretty sure Petersen is Catholic.

I like Chris Peterson. I really wish LSU would have given him a look, although I'm not sure he would leave Washington right now.

He's just playing the awe shucks game. Poor poor pitiful us, they're great and we're just grateful to be here. But away from the microphone he's pumping his boys up and telling them how nobodies giving them a chance. Challenging them to do the impossible...why not us bit.
I'd be doing the same thing.
He'll draw up some wrinkles Bama hasn't seen plus pull out all the stops on special teams. I'm gonna guess 3 to 4 gimmick or trick plays.
