Had never been pulled over in years until I hunted public land one year. Same guy checked me twice. Now everybody will be calling a buddy to pick up their deer, the greedy ones anyhow.

He said he was driving down Hwy. 183. He met the game warden and he turned around and pulled him over.

I can't believe I haven't ran through one of these yet. They seem to be setting them up all around here now.

My point was he doesn't need a hunting license to drive down the road.

THIS, EXACTLY.

Driving down the road in a sparkling new truck or a mud-covered beater with an ATV in the back is ZERO reason to be pulled over and have a GW ask for a hunting license and "harvest" record. That's total BS.

Someone needs to take this to court and hammer the guys doing this. Stopping someone with a 4wheeler over and demanding a hunting license is some bush league stuff.

It's not like there's a damn fine for not reporting this year. They've made that clear. Another form of hunter harrassment I say.

I'll make you this promise right here and now, if it happens to me, I will get ya'll some answers. That is a promise! I won't produce a license or harvest record for driving down the road. Then it will be his move.

And so what if He stops someone and there's a deer in the back of the truck? So what? I suppose he would have probable cause to ask for a hunting license but game check allows 48 hours right? So he asks "have you reported with game check yet?" and I say "Nope. Anything else I can help you with officer? No? Very well, have a nice day."

Don't know the situation but the GW's only do what they are told by their superiors so keep that in mind only doing their job .
