They are chasing like crazy around my neck of the woods. To bad I hunt about 70 miles south east from here... confused

The big one ran over by Mojo's was on Andrew Lusk land, the piebald was ran over right after you cross the bridge into scottsboro.

So nobody even shot em they just got hit by a car? That's a pretty good indicator that the Scottsboro rut is already over. You may have missed it.

Nope , too early for central Jackson County by about 15 days plus or minus a few days. A few nice ones have been killed early and a few folks have seen some younger bucks chasing but that doesn't mean peek breeding is happening.

Ive hunted in norh jackson county about 8-10 times in the last two weeks. scrapes and rubs are showing up everywhere, and I have seen multiple small bucks crusing and tending to scrapes early morning. Deer movement is great and it should only get better, but they are not wide open yet. This has been observed on a large club (4000+ acres).

Won't hurt my hunting one way or the other if it's started or finished . I hunt on the mountain up around Bryant , Pisgah, Section & Dutton a little.
