Bambam I have an 8' Brillion cultipacker with the 15" sand wheels. It works very well for me from south Bama to the Midwest.
A buddy and I have a project cultipacker we plan to finish up after the first of the year. It will be 8' 3pt unit if interested.
"Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes to us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday."

I would get the larger wheels. Probably will last longer. I have the larger ones and they are notched. It is a 6' tuffline model. This was my first season using it and it did very well. Your tractor should handle it fine. It is a little difficult on a 20hp tractor with no brakes. Did your cultipacker cover the seed adequately or did you cover before packing?

I used a 4' drag before I purchased the cultipacker. I think the packer did a better job. It will smooth the plots real nice as well.
