I walked up on a buck once moving a ladder. My gun was back at the old ladder location. He didn't bounce off. He stood up and just stared and stared.
I helped a buddy with a long drag once. "Think we should take our guns?" I asked. No he said. Just get in the way. Etc. Three bucks ran a single doe by us.
Sure fire way to see a buck is go for a stroll with no gun. I had to read that first sentence twice lol - definitely a head scratcher lol - but yep the only time you leave ur gun sitting is gonna be the only time ur gonna need it  Yep, that's why we diagrammed sentences in English!! (just kiddin)
