Mine was a single barrel 20 gauge. I was walking down an old logging road and heard deer running through the woods so I sat on an old stump. About 5 min later ol' floppy ears stepped out and I put that bead right on her shoulder and dropped her with a slug at about 30 steps. I was 11 and will never forget it.

Youth model 7-08. Saw a doe slipping through swamp she stopped in an opening I shot, got my eye back in the scope and she was still standing in that opening. Shot again and she dropped. Uncle came to pick me up and she and her friend were piled up. Oops sorry!

Savage model 99 in 300 Savage. I was walking a bluff, up jumps a forked horn below me. I shoot and miss! He trots up the draw and stops. This time I kneel take my time. I shoot and he takes off, hmmm! not what I expected. I watch him run a ways about 50 yards. He stops falls and rolls to the bottom of the draw. My brother drove the pickup right to him.

I killed my first deer with a Remington model 700 .270. I shot a 60 lb yearling doe sitting on the ground with my grandad down in good ole Chambers county. In fact it was on New Years Eve 12 years ago. I will never forget it.

Lever winchester in 30-30 with irons. Some dogs ran her right to me, she stopped to look back at at them and blam - drt. I was so excited, I jumped out of my grandfather's old baker stand from about 12-14 feet. I had to hug the tree to climb back up and get it when we were done field stripping her.

14 years old with a Remington 700 30-06. I was sitting on the edge of a pond in a clear cut. It was in Winston county when we only had a couple doe days per season. My dad took my brother and my mom was actually sitting with me at the time. I can only recall her going deer hunting with us twice in my life and that was the last time I believe lol. That was just over 16 years ago.

Remington 760 carbine 30-06. The rifle was purchased at Areomarime by my grandfather the same week James Earl Ray bought the one he used to kill MLK. Taco scope with see through scope mounts.

It was a doe in the pasture long before Blount county had any doe season. I was so frustrated, I couldn't find a buck. I was standing by the barn and saw 3 does in the pasture. I grabbed my gun and snuck out there and dropped one of them. As soon as I walked up to her, a really nice (at least it seemed that way to me) 10 point jumped out of the brush behind her and took off across the pasture.

The same .308 that I use today. It was the rut, buck trotting across a plot with his nose inches from a does rear.

55 years ago I shot a 156 pound doe with a Savage 99 in .300 Savage in a snow storm in Errol NH. Still got that rifle but I've retired it to the gun safe.

In 2000, a doe out of a shooting house that me and my father built watching a greenfield with a Browning A-Bolt .270 Win that my father gave to me at 14 yrs old. It is still my deer rifle today, and will be as long as I can help it.

Can't remember my age but my uncles 12gauge with iron sights (slug) setting right next to my dad in two separate trees in climbing stands (matter of fact it was the first time I used a climber) about a 20 yrd shot.... thought I was shooting a doe ended up being a button buck shot him right through the heart ran 100yrds dead and dropped. My first deer was taken with an old McPherson that had about 4 inches too much draw length.

5 point on a deer drive in Choctaw county river swamp sitting beside my dad and baby brother. Double barrel 20 gauge pulled both triggers.

Hunting a green field at club my dad leased. We called it the condo stand. Had a few deer come out about 200 or so yards away. I shot the biggest bodied deer in the field with a 30-30 it mule kicked and ran into the woods. My dad and I walked about 50 feet into the woods and there he laid, a jacked up five point. I was probably 10 or 11.
