I am gonna say my piece and let this thread go. All of my life I have been a hard core supporter of the DCNR. They have done things I didn't through the years but nothing that I felt was against the hunters as a whole or the health of wildlife. The doe limits got me going but I did understand other areas needed it. Some of my areas didn't and I've said I blame coyotes for a lot. Picked up a camera this morning and 13 pictures of coyotes....about the same number as deer. Then came the extension of deer season in the north zone. My understanding is the only data to support this was some biologists saying "NO, DONT DO IT.". Now I see a DCNR not making decisions based on what is best for the wildlife with the available data. Then the Commissioner tells me I'm on an entitlement program and am only a drain on the system. After all the time, money, and sweat I have put in to better wildlife, ALL WILDLIFE, I am now told I'm a drain on the system. NOW, NOT SINGLE THING I SAID WAS A JAB AT THE GWs. They are not playing a part in this in my opinion that they are not required to. The bottom line is, the actions and comments by this commissioner has quite possibly turned me for life.
