Don't usually see them during daylight.
I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

Man that is cool.....never seen one in my life I have heard several people say that on here lately which surprises me. On the places that I hunt, I run into them a couple times/ season minimum. Actually, during turkey season is when I encounter them most. I have had 2 close call w/ sprays and I honestly can't think of anything I'd like to run into less in the woods outside of a venomous snake in close quarters. They usually don't pay much mind, but its always a tense ordeal if you're walking/ on the move.

There was another post on here recently about seeing a skunk, and I said that when I was a teenager back in the 80's we saw them regularly during the Spring while turkey hunting, but I haven't seen one (that I remember) since then.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

We used to see them often. In fact, the old black man that was the property caretaker for years was famous for killing them with a stick. People used to audio record him telling how to do it because it was in what the experts called an old dying dialect. "You gots to sneaks up behinds em" is my recollection of him telling the story. I also remember people using the big old VCR cameras to record him doing it. He was killing skunks with sticks well into his 80's or better.
We quit seeing any skunks years ago and I asked a biologist about it and he told me that a virus had wiped them all out between some river and another river, neither of which names I can recall. He says they are slowly rebounding. While I haven't seen one in years, I did smell one not too long ago.
My only fear of the woods at night is walking up on a skunk.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

That's is funny....would have liked to be on a ridge across from y'all and see that! I was sitting on a ridge in Millry Alabama a few years ago just before the sun came up. I heard an animal walking down the ridge, it wasn't heavy enough to be a deer, and we didn't want a bobcat or coyote to sneak up on us, so my buddy flips the flashlight on and all of the sudden yells "SKUNK!!!" He and I rolled over and rolled down that ridge faster than I think I've ever moved in my life.
