good luck with the tourney. crowded and hectic are an understatement. there will be so many boats on the lake that day you better find a spot and stay there. it's a great event and i think it's run the best it can be for the number of boats. they usually have great prizes to throw out to the crowd and you'll see some big names there. i've been on the lake a pretty good bit lately. the heads have turned on pretty good and are shallow. i'd have a swimming jig tied on for sure. i've caught a lot of good spots shallow on seawalls and around piers. buzzbait first thing in the morning.

Zoo......

Pattern: Pull up to any bank w/o a boat on it (if you can find one) and start casting!

For some reason I have always enjoyed the tournament, everybody else seems to hate it. It is very well organized and not difficult to catch a limit. As far as a lake report the fishing has been great for spots and largemouths. In the mid-lake region a lot of the spots I have caught have been pre-spawn and largemouths post-spawn. Good Luck!

Paradise isn't to bad if you get there plenty early, leaving can be difficult. The last several years I launch from my place in spring creek and got in line with everyone else (lots of boats launch from down river that morning) This year were taking my buddy's boat and launching from his place in okamo. It is still a good idea to get there an hour early or so to register and get the fingerlings. Good Luck!

I'll be there wed or thur morning, fish then take the stupid test drive around 9:00.
I finally caught some nice layed out spots this weekend I was beginning to think they would never spawn. Despite the moon schedule a lot of the spots are locked down on bed.
The post spawners are really bitting. I have caught a 5.6 and 6.4 layed out largemouth, and a 3.9 layed out spot over the past week.
I won't be swinging for the fences in this tourney, any check will do. Good Luck!
