They haven't had to chase. The does are standing still. It's just too hot to run.

our lease is down by Georgiana, not far from greenville. Nothing going on down there rut wise cept for scraping and rubbing. No chasing not seeing the bucks cruising like normal for this time of year either.
One member shot a 3yr old 4pt yesterday that was hanging with a spike. I say 3 yr old, it weighed 155lb which is too big for anything less than 3 in our area. A month ago guys were seeing 10 - 15 deer on plots in the afternoon, now 2 or 3. Mostly yearlings. The big does have disappeared also. We have about 1500acres of 3/5 yr old clear cut though so they may all be out in that jungle boogeying all day long where no one can see them. Kinda weird season. Ima head down there next thursday when it cools off. Hope by then it starts firing up.

Hunted all weekend outside of Greenville between Hwy 15 and Hwy 10. Its been dead on our side as well. Have had some guys hunting on our property in Ft Deposit and they say it is dead up there too. But I did notice yesterday morning on the way out what looked to be buck tracks following behind does on some crossings. Hopefully it will start getting good after Wednesday. I will be off from then til the end so I have my fingers crossed.
