I'm really needing to kill a buck right now. Everyone in my family has stroked one but me. Elvis better not show up in my yard.

My buddy just shot a stud 7pt in his backyard right in town. 50 yd bow shot so still some sport there. Shoot him. I know another guy that shot a monster buck at night over bait with a gun in his back yard in a very populated subdivision. . Now I have zero respect for that one.

Don't blame me for your bad decision-

Mobile Al,
Mabye ill just shoot him in the .5 acre of woods behind my house. I know I could kill the deer no problem and no one would know about it. I would also be very happy with him. Just seem like there would always be an asterisk beside him on my wall.

I've been in a similar situation and did not try it. I've got too much respect for my neighbors to jeopardize it over a deer. If you have to track it across somebody's yard you most likely will have trouble.

It's a pet. No way I would shoot it.

My mother and stepfather number 5 used to feed them off the back porch year round. There were several monsters that came up to get an apple or pear almost out of your hand through the years. I never even thought about shooting one of them.

I'd say I'd be awfully tempted but not sure if I would. But if you do please video and leave it running after the shot for a while so we can see the mob forming in your yard.

definitely not a pet. If I open the back door they break loose through the woods. He just started coming around if he sees anyone he hauls ass into the woods right behind my house.

I don't know. My yard has always been a safe spot. I fed them at a place I had in Blount County and they were still skittish cause the locals would blast them from 500 yards across other folks fields, day/night, permission/no permission, made no difference. I had to feed them out of sight of the road so the idiots wouldn't shoot across my yard.

To each his/her own but I couldn't do it.

I've got a bucks horns I call bonanza because that's what I was watching when he came by my house. I tell people how I killed it. Never was ashamed of it. I hunted my but off that year, just didn't happen like I thought it would. Don't worry so much about what everybody else thinks.

if it's legal for you to kill him on your property what difference does it make if he lives in the city or not or just in a neighborhood? I'm sorry but if there's a good deer hanging around my house, he's dying first opportunity I have at him if I can legally take him. Hell with what other people think, let those bastards be offended, they'll get over it

To answer your question, no, personally, I wouldn't kill it. I have had bucks in my yard during open season and they have always gotten a pass.

I can certainly understand your desire to kill him if this buck is bigger than anything you've killed. It is usually not easy to kill a buck of this caliber.

I have had regrets about not shooting deer that either were never seen by me again or killed by someone else. I have also had regrets about killing certain deer. I am now at a point, where I kill what makes me happy and try not to worry too much about what all the goobers out there think.

No matter what anyone else says, whether they would kill the deer or not kill it, ultimately it is a decision that you will live with. It sounds like you have made your decision, so go forward without any regrets.

If you are gonna shoot him with a bow, use a rage so he dies quicker.
