As of last week I was still getting pics of bucks still together. Did have some daylight pics of the smaller ones out lurking. Hopefully it'll be on soon. Anyone else?

Brothers buddy grunted in a good 9 point Saturday and brother saw a good one chasing Sunday afternoon but couldn't get a shot. Was late and it would not stop in open. First sign he has seen.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My phone screen does not always work right, usually a lot of misspelled words....

Last weekend I had young bucks out on the prowl and trying to chase a little bit. I'm going to try them in these rain forest weather conditions this weekend

That is good to hear. Maybe it is about to bust open. Something has to give at some point because the weather sure isn't.

Well I hunted Friday for most of the day with zero luck. Drove back up on Monday w/ out seeing anything in the morning. Around 3:30 I shot a small six that I mistook for this crazy racked 7 that I have been seeing since Oct. He was stinking pretty bad. It's not on in my opinion just yet, but I think it's getting real close. Hopefully any day now. Did pull one of my cards and had a couple of smaller guys on the camera together. The only big boy I saw was by himself, and was in and out in the middle of the night. Fingers crossed that it'll happen soon.

I'm going up that way Fri - Mon so hopefully I can lay one down. Normally this weekend every year we do pretty well on my land.

Good deal! I'll be heading up Friday night myself, and staying for a few days. Hopefully all goes well. Good luck! On a side note. Not sure if you've met the new GW in that area or not, but he has been around like crazy. Young guy from down around the Mobile area. Very nice, but just be sure you have your ducks in a row. Not saying that you don't, but just giving fair warning. Since the last GW (God rest his soul) was sick for some time, he seems to be out to try and make up for lost time. Which isn't really a bad thing.

Yeah I've heard about him...young guy off the block cracking down on everyone...he got everyone at a friends camp on woods bluff road last season for huntin over bait...even the guy that didn't have a gun but just walked to the shootin house with a cooler of beer to watch some deer...

Yep that's him. He has been on our property a few times. Claimed he was looking in the area for some night hunters. Kind of hard to find night hunters at 10:30 am. Heck I know the guy has a job to do, and I know it has to be a tough one. It's just kind of hard on a fellow to have the GW bust up on your property driving around while you're out hunting on the coldest day of the year. Especially when you're legal. Regarding Woods Bluff, did the your buddy and the group that hunted it last year lose that lease? I thought I had heard something like that earlier this year. We are not very far from there.
