Congrats to your daughter Crocker! That's a bull! My buddy killed a buck on some public ground this morning. Sounds like they are on their feet today.

Congrats on the deer!

My season is now over! Saw 4 doe(s?, what is actually correct?) today, no bucks. Was happy to end the season watching some deer. Learned a lot this season and can't wait to get back at em next year to get my first buck! I somehow managed to make it through this whole season without seeing a buck. I went and grabbed my camera before heading in, and I have about 400 pictures, with some bucks, all at around midnight every day. Oh well! Good luck to those that get to hunt this week!

Congrats on the deer. I didn't see anything but some low life stole the cargo rack off my car. That'll ruin a morning

Shot buck with crossbow at 10:15.

After 1st shot buck ran 20 yards and stood behind cedar. Blood and white fat/guts and short white hair on arrow. No blood trail. He gingerly/slowly walked off across the Road.

I plan to give him until 4:00. No idea if he's gonna die.

If u got guts, he's gonna die. I'd call a dog and wait even longer if possible.

I agree with johnal....I’d go do an initial assessment late this afternoon like you’re planning and if it doesn’t look good then back out and call and line up someone with a dog before it gets dark. With it being Saturday, trackers are likely to get booked up after the sun goes down.

I'm in for my last hunt this afternoon. At my father in laws place. He has hunted the bottoms hard this year so I came up on the mountain. Nobody had hunted up here in several years. Hopefully a good old buck will come strolling through.

Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.
