Ok, just curious as to how you felt your season was rating from 1-10. To me, I consider all seasons good regardless of kills, just enjly being out there but you get the point. Also, what effect, if any, do you feel the drought had on fawning, movement, season success, etc.

I would rate mine a 4. We got a new lease this year that looked promising but turned lut to be really tough with very low sightings.

2, worst season I had in many years, maybe the worst altogether. Between the screwed up wather and not seeing but only one small 3pt, it sucked ballz.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Deer sightings were terrible on the 2 small private places I hunt but I had a pretty good season on public land.

On my military base where I do 95% of my hunting, 8/9.

On public land where I also hunt a little, 0 (maybe -1)

10/10, killed one doe, missed a 130'ish 8pt on the family farm (my 1st missed deer in many years), saw a big 6pt about every time I hunted one stand and always got my heart going when he would first come through, hunted some new land in TN with some new hunting friends, got to spend time at the hunting camp with old friends and new friends, got one more year with my dad that taught me all about the gift of being able to do this. I was lucky enough to have several nights at hunting camp where it was just my lab Kodi and I where we just sat by the fire and looked at the stars ( well he was usually chewing on a stick or something). This year and every year that I'm lucky enough and healthy enough to be in the woods will always be a 10/10, even last year where I didn't kill a deer or turkey was 10/10. To me this never will be about the numbers or the kills, all about the time spent in Gods creation.

8. Still haven't shot a wall hanger but I had the most deer sightings in a season and put two in the freezer.

0. Shoulder surgery in November. Couldn't draw a bow and doctors orders not to shoot a firearm until January. Work picked up January 1. Worked everyday of January except three. MIL that lived with us passed away 2/2. Wasn't meant to be.

On paid hunt - 1

On my lease - 3

On my family land - 4

On my buddies farm - 9 (3 day hunt and killed 2 does and a 5.5 year old buck)

It was a greatyear regardless of seeing deer. Took my 3yo little girl on a couple short hunts and she loved it. Took my son and my nephew several times. My son shot one but it was a non fatal hit. Spent time with my best friends hunting, dad came down while we planted for the first time in years. Will killed his largest buck and I was there for it. So all in all DESPITE The low sightings on our lease I had a GREAT YEAR.

1/10. Just glad I got to go due to my schedule. Went three times, twice in t shirt and jeans. Saw deer every time. Looking forward to next year.

I was back hunting public land this year after many years in a club and my season was cut short due to shoulder surgery on Jan 10th. Only killed 1 deer but saw deer every time I was in the woods but once. Considering all this I would give it a 7.

I didn't get to hunt nearly as much as I wanted to this season, but I had a whopping total of 10 sits, saw deer every sit, and killed a doe and my first buck, so I would say it was my best season yet. 9/10.
