Trying to decide what form/pose to mount my buck with. I know some of you have mounted a bunch. What looks best?

In for pics. I always enjoy these threads. Some of the guys on here have some sweet trophy rooms/walls.

Ive got one at taxidermist now that had an average leftside, but cool right side, so I did something different. Full left turn, no licking tongue. I look forward to getting him back.

all my other ones have been typical standard left or right turn.

Pick the wall you want to put your trophy on then decide on a mount.

I like a wall pedestal but they take up about 50% more wall space than a standard shoulder mount. i stopped getting deer mounted on a wall pedestal for this reason. I'd go with a standard semi-sneak either right turn or left depending on the location you choose.

I've got a semi-sneak right turn, so this deer will be a left turn of some sort.

Got my last 2 done in wall pedestals cause I wanted something different then I had. Few semi sneaks, and one upright. One of the pedestals is upright to. If you don't have a wall pedestal yet,I say get one. Ear position is very important to me. I'm not a fan of the alert, ears both straight/upright to the sides; to me,it looks like a statue and not as natural, but to each his own.

The first two bucks were done by Joel Stone. My grandfather killed the 13 in bullock and the 15 in Macon and both scored a hair over 150.
The next two I shot and the third one was done by David large in Auburn, and the 9 point was done by Matthew Applebaum. Love all of them.

I would go pedestal if you have the room. Other than that decide where you want to hang it then decide on the mount.

Here are a couple that are still at AW's shop. I really need to go pick them up.

Close up is one of my Bucks as well as the other pic. The 11 point was an early season bow kill. I give AW free rein on how he wants to mount my deer. He picks out the form and turn that he thinks will bring out the best result of his artistic ability and make the deer look good.

I think this is a semi sneak right hand turn

Nice bucks. Always look forward to your post thumbup

I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.
