Don't count on winning their game. Some may get lucky most don't.
We have seen 95% of the customers we have worked with not renew after the first year if they had to call on a major HVAC issue.

Like many other have said already. Waste of money. This past summer we had several new customer due to American home shield sending out people from as far as Nashville or mobile to the N. Alabama area. These customer were told it would be a week before the company could make it out then expect a couple days to file paper work and order parts and then when ever they could get back with the parts needed. Not sure if it was American home shield or not, but one of tHe home warranty companies send the part needed to their contractor once it's diagnosed.

My FIL live in Louisville. This past July his ac went out. They couldn't fix it so he had the pleasure of waiting 1.5 months to get ac. He said he had those stand up ac unit all over the house and actually slept in his big rig up the rd at his shop quite a few nights. He said he'll never deal with the home warranty again.
