I'm a bit skeptical of most of these reports. Methinks some of you heathens can't be trusted. But I have it on good authority that the turkeys are going nuts down around Clayton. The locals are afraid to go outside for all the rowdy gobblers.

I didn't listen this morning, but I did watch a gobbler and 2 hens in a food plot this afternoon. The two hens fed around and the the gobbler stood guard over them. He didn't move more than 15 yards in 20 minutes. He did strut some.

This thread is a perfect example of one of the reasons I love turkey hunting.
Deer hunters are worried about people hunting to close to their property lines.... while turkey hunters don't want another hunter to even be in the same county rofl

Naww man - I don't care to tell anybody about all the gobbling I heard this morning at the Oakmulgee district of the TNF, about 1 mile north of Hwy. 25, due NE of Payne Lake.

You and me both brother. That's why I don't like to mention all that gobbling I hear at skyline. It just wouldn't be right for all the local guys up there. I heard all you gotta do at skyline is ride the roads and blow your crow call and you'll kill 2 or 3 up there easy.

I thought turkey hunters said "What's a property line?"

Heck I've killed a dozen or more in one day doing that. Them crows are pretty slick but if you know what to say to em you can make em come right on in

No gobbling on my side of the mtn this morning. I'll probably sneak around to some plots this afternoon to see if I can catch one strutting again
