I've got a Liberty Colonial 50 that I need to move.
Weight is about 1000#

Moving it around shouldn't be an issue but my concern is getting it on and off of trailer.
I've got the help, my role will be purely supervisory and logistical. I've got access to dollies and pallet jack if needed.

Y'all got any tips, tricks or insight?

Flat bottoms will roll on golf balls

Remove gate/ramps - forklift with fork extensions to position the center of the safe slightly in front of the axle(s).

You might be able to use an engine hoist and straps if you can get the straps tight enough and adjust the lift arm.

Appliance dolly with wheels on the back, sheet of plywood and a tilt trailer. Got the T-shirt.

I wouldn't have thought of that one.

Roll it on several sections of stout PVC pipe, just like they moved houses in the old days with logs.

I helped a friend move one once and we strapped it to the front end loader (setting in the bucket with the cardboard sleeve and wrap) on one of those mini John Deere tractors. Drove it right up to the door and set it down on two furniture dollies in the house.

Call somebody. Hopefully I've moved my last safe.

Step 1 - call Ben at motivated Movers
Step 2 tell them where to move it

Trust me after years of doing it myself this is the best way to do it.

True, if you get hurt and miss work or damage the safe paying Ben would be dirt cheap in comparison

No way I would attempt to move one of those blocks of steel. There are no handles and even if there were they are HEAVY. Save a nut, call the man.

That's how I rolled mine where I wanted it. I hauled it laying on its back on two 2x6s laid lengthwise on the floor of the trailer. A little squirt of Dawn on top of them before laying the safe down (that's a trick too) will allow it to be slid off the end of the trailer and stood up. Strap the hell out of it so it don't slide till you want it to though. Stand it up on 2 or 3 foot sections of 1/2" schedule 40 PVC about 6 inches apart and as they come out the back put them in front and just keep pushing it along.

Another option is a tractor with loader and pallet forks....... or Motivated Movers....

My buddy used them and he said never again. The dirt legs he had working for him were looking over his shoulder at the combination

People die moving gun safes.
The golf balls and pvc will let you roll it to the trailer but it won't go up the ramp without scraping the ground. Be carefule
