Was great! This one did what makes getting up at 4 am worth every minute of sleep I don't get during turkey season. I went to a block of cutover where I killed #2 at earlier this year and got on the highest hill in the middle of it in the dark and at daybreak he gobbled bout 300 yards away in the neighbors beautiful hardwoods. I got where I could see down a rd in the cutover towards where he was and found a little tree to get by, this is clear cut and not much to set up by but I felt like I would be ok because I was above him. He was gobbling his head off at everything, I give him a few clucks and some soft yelps and he gobbled 7-8 times in a row! I waited, few minutes go by and the next time he gobbled he was on the ground, I called and he hammered, I waited and he finally showed up in the cutover. He was strutting and inching my way, he gobbled 3 times at about 60 yards and kept easing my way, when he got to about 25 yards I let him have it! Here's the road he came up I wish every hunt was as good as this one, he's as pretty a bird as I've ever killed, and the show was amazing, hate that it had to end

I love those two middle feathers on the fan! Congrats! I think I've asked this before but I wonder what causes that? I've killed several like that but not as far up the feathers as this one. It sure looks good though

It sure looks good though idk but I love it! I killed a bird Sunday that had it but it was only about 1.5 inches long, and the secondary fan covered it. I've never killed one that looks like yours, you lucky dog!

I love those two middle feathers on the fan! Congrats! I think I've asked this before but I wonder what causes that? I've killed several like that but not as far up the feathers as this one. It sure looks good though They did a study on some farm birds and found out poor nutrition at the time the birds were developing those specific feathers. When the right nutrients were added back the next set of feathers were normal. I believe the study was done in Mississippi. Congrats on the great bird.
