Gonna have to wear bibs & long johns Wednesday morning, but a bad day turkey hunting beats a good day at work! No doubt about that. This week is our spring break, which is about the only time I can work until summer. I'm gonna try to work the early part of the week and hunt Friday-Sunday

Jdfarm what ya majoring in? I've got a freshman down there & another one coming in the fall. I have a few connections down there. Lemme see if I can get you somewhere close to hunt. You might have to call up a bird for an old timer or 2, but you ll also probably be golden if you do.  Graduated in 2014 with a Biomedical Sciences degree from Auburn and I'm in my second year of pharmacy school now. It's a good place, I'm sure your kids will enjoy it. If they ever need anything just let me know. And I'm always game for hunting a new place. I'll be doing most of my hunting in Russell county this season. Got a bunch of family land about 30 minutes outside of auburn. Should be able to hunt and get back in time for class a lot of mornings. Just have to kill the birds before the rest of my family does. We've got some killers hunting our place. I'll see what I can do for you a close spot. My first one is Pre-Communication Disorders & the second one is leaning Chemistry Education but she hasn't ruled out Pharmacy. She's taking pharmacy in high school now & likes it, but she feels like she wants to teach.

Bibs, boot covers, under armour, neck gaiter, mittens, boggin, sidekick got the buddy heater, so I reckon I'm ready. If we get in a run n gun situation it's gonna be more like waddle n whack em.  Yep, I picked up the 1000 gram Burleys to put by the door, and almost pulled a muscle as they were so heavy. Only had them on once for deer season, and here it is Spring time and I'm needing them. It's in writing, and hopefully over for several seasons, or never again.
Would have been the first bird killed using TSS and the 20ga.

Part of the issue was using a different gun, but the main issue was me not finishing up. Everything else till the closing went perfect....

Steady drizzle in St. Clair county this morning. Good luck everybody. Got a 67 point bird leading in our 5th annual turkey tournament at Majestic Outdoors. Gonna take a stud or 2nd bird to knock him off the top spot.
