I purchased 3 last week at the advertised $24.99 price. My wife thought I was nuts. Well, I sold all 3 of them yesterday on Ebay for $100 each. People have gone crazy!
The sad part is I told the wife to put them on there and post them at a minimum bid of $100. She instead posted them at that price period. I was ticked. They sold in less than 3 hours.
Wish I had purchased 100 last week! LOL

It's nothing more than a modified umbrella rig.
I helped a pal last night get situated so he could use his. The rig is very lightweight - 3/8 oz. - but when you add jigheads and swimbaits or other lures, it becomes a roughly 2-ounce or greater bait.
I'm still trying to find one. Wish I'd gotten one from the Rig founder back in July when I saw it.

rumor is...a guy won a fairly big tournament with one a couple weeks ago and the demand for these things have gone through the roof. dont know if its true or not but had a guy tell me that fished in that tournament that one guy offered a thousand bucks for 3 of them, but you know how stories go Fairley Big? 100,000 $. FLW Open on Guntersville. The angler was Paul Elias. 25 + day one 29 + day two 75 + after day three and still had a day to go. My cousin was in 10th place saturday and had a bad day finished 12th. He said on the weigh stage "Im just glad i got beat by the Alabama Rig, and not the Auburn Rig." I would not doubt the 1000.00 dollar story.

Bullet, are they real Alabama Rig rigs or replicas?
Just curious. I'm looking for the genuine bird for some photography needs.

I'm looking for the genuine bird for some photography needs. How do you tell if it's genuine? I saw one today that was supposed to be original. The guy was making replicas of it.

So you troll with this thing? Or you cast it? Steady movement? Work like a jig?

They're not banned, although the tournament orgs are looking at them prior to 2012 seasons.
Fatty, go here and see -- thealabamarig.com
I threw one yesterday on Wilson Lake below Wheeler Dam and caught some hybrids. Absolutely unbelievable vicious strikes. Didn't catch any smallies or largies but the hybrids were thick in there.
I loved it. It's like throwing a chandelier. It will be seasonal depending on how the fish are feeding, and where, if you're bass fishing.
For hybrids, stripers or white bass, holy smokes.

It's not that long. I've heard of guys ordering and getting them within 7-10 days.
I think the rush has just prevented them from updating some of the website info.
The founder reached a deal for the licensing, marketing and selling rights with Mann's Bait Company. He'll stay on as a consultant-advisor type and they'll handle the manufacture and stuff.

Every store around Guntersville has them now, About 10 different manufacturers. Walmart is the cheapest at $17.95. They had over 100 last week, now they have about 20-30 left.

I know this is sick, but I actually had a dream I was fishing with one last night and it is still deer season! LOL
Actually now that I think of it, the guy fishing with me had one and I didn't. Needless to say, he was killing them! LOL

7 go to Lowes or Home Depot. Look in adhesives. Two color epoxy putty. In a clear tube.

I went to Guntersville today and absolutely destroyed the bass. All on A-rigs in 8-10 FOW.
Crappie I never got into but I tried.
On other note, I've gotta figure out how to make these A-Rigs. I can't stand it to pay $30 and then have to load it up with swimbaits. $15 is bad enough. Always wanted to get into making some of my tackle but never have. Looks like a good time to start.

Yum makes some for around $18, well I found some for $18 anyway, but like you said ya still got to buy the bait to go with it.
