I often wondered circumstances of how it was lost? In arrowhead cases, was it lost due to a bad shot, owner killed, non-kill shot and animal ran off.

When I read the title "artifact" I just knew there was going to be a picture of perchjerker open up.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Pretty good preform. No real good way to date it, but I would estimate about 3500 years old.

That is really neat. Instead of all the guessing, email those pictures to Moundville state park. It is a Indian village that has been turned into a park just south of Tuscaloosa. It is ran by the archeology department at the University of Alabama. They have archeologist that can tell you exactly what it is and what it was used for. Their web site is http://moundville.ua.edu/visit-2/

the guys at Moundville you would need to talk to would NOT be the employees of the park but the folks that work at the UA lab there on the grounds.

Well then we get the student's, probably even grad students' opinion. That would be so much better than the professor's opinion because we all know that proffs are all just a bunch of liberal wastes.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
