I know this has been discussed before, but I need to know what broad coverage chemicals to spray for insects in & around my house. The Home Depot $10/gal mix isn't cutting it, and I still see spiders and other bugs occasionally in the house.

I guess a better question....what chemical is commonly sprayed by commercial pest control companies once per month? & where do yall order it from?

X2 on demon WP. Make sure you spray outside really really good, I've also used Demon Max, ordered it from domyownpestcontrol.com

Demon WP works great... they only bugs I have left is spiders that build their webs all over my porch, eaves, place like that but its damn near impossible to kill spiders unless you get spray on them directly from what I have been told.

I also use demon. I spray it inside and outside. I also spray pemethrin a couple times a year.

Spray demon WP around exterior perimeter, foundation vents, windows etc. Spray suspend SC inside around the perimeter. I'd also recommended getting some delta dust, a hand duster and put a puff of dust in wall voids and cracks/ crevices that you can get to. You could also get a crank duster like a dustin-mizer and dust the entire crawl space and attic. One thing you need to do from the start is use glue boards. That'll help you determine which areas have more activity and then you can seal up those cracks and crevices.

Everything I listed would cost you $700 or more for an initial treatment from a pest company. You can spend $100 or so depending on how in depth you want to go and get enough to treat your house for years doing it yourself.

I just spray Ortho Home Defense every few months (inside). spray across every door threshold and every window sill, as well as the baseboards for about 5ft on either side of a door or window. also spray along baseboard behind furniture. It has made a noticeable difference compared to before we started using it. rarely see bugs inside.

Only thing it did NOT help with was the German Cockroaches, but I got some stuff off amazon that has dominated them.

I've heard Demon WP is good. I haven't used it. I use Tempo SC Ultra. I spray it around the exterior of my house, on the foundation twice a year. I never have a bug inside except some sugar ants on occasion.

I had sugar ants at our previous house. I sprayed outside and inside the foundation, including all piers with Tempo. Still didn't get rid of them. I called a pest control company to come out. When the guy got there I told him what I had done and that I used Tempo. He told me there was no reason for him to spray because if what I had done wouldn't get rid of them, that nothing he had would come close.
