They already get a per diem which more than covers meals and housing. They want a housing allowance because it is tax free. What's that amount? Meals and housing in DC can't be cheap I doubt $2500 gets you much around capital . If you think they deserve it then write 'em a check..they get enough of my damn money already.. Amen.

Jason Chaffetz has proposed Congressmen get reimbursed $2500 a month for housing. Really? I think that is insane. Most of them become millionaires mysteriously while there(NOT FROM SALARIES). What say you? Most of them are millionaires BEFORE they get there.
