I was checking out the news and the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is tomorrow. I believe that I read that the record is 70 hot dogs and buns by Joey Chestnut.
I know these people train for these eating contests, but how in the world can the human stomach expand to the point of holding that much stuff?
Just out of curiosity - how many hotdogs do you think you could possibly eat?
I would guess that my maximum would be around 6 and then I'd feel like junk for the rest of day.

I've always been a big eater. Not like competition level but more than most folks. At my 11 birthday party I downed 12 'dogs and buns, and a bowl of chili, and a bunch of mountain dew. I was a little sluggish after that one.
...I can't imagine eating 70. That's crazy.

A lot of the winners are tiny Asian people. Kobayashi won for years, and I think he weighs about 130 soaking wet!!

I watched last years competition yesterday. Dude did eat 70. It was nasty.
When I was a kid, 16 or so, I wouldn't have any trouble eating a whole pack with buns and chips. Now prob 4 or 6 would be absolute max.

I like a good dog, but I don't believe I'd make it past 6 if I was pushed. Mine would have to have mustard and chili though. I have no desire to dip them in water to soak the bun in order to eat them.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Wintzell's Oyster House also has a eating contest. The current record holder is Ken Orndoff of Birmingham, who ate 421 oysters on September 11, 2010. Now I can chow down on some oysters, but that is un-REAL. And there is no weird stuff like soaking the hotdog buns in water, that's just one oyster after another!! 421!!

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
