Drop 50 lbs of bagged mineral salt in the center of each tract asap. Reclaim the roads and fields.

That is what we have been working on. Been spraying all the old fields, road sides and a few other places that were cleared out last time timber was cut but is all grown up now.

Nothing wrong with scouting now, but I would wait until closer to the season to start. I would use satellite to look at areas that I would feel were more prone to being good spots and put the boots on the ground. Hanging a few cameras isnt a bad idea either. One thing Ill say about doing it right now is that its hard to find good spots based on sign, because more than likely you wont find much. During the summer where i hunt youd be hard pressed in finding many tracks or worn down trails. Once bow season gets closer its like someone flips a light switch and they start showing up. Maybe sitting back and just hunting what you already know would be better than trying to establish things right now. Once the seasons in, that should give you a much better idea of what the deer are doing.
