Facebook is for old people. It's the modern day telephone partyline. Look at the ages on there and if you see anyone younger than 25, that's an anomaly. Most HS and college kids abhor FB.

And the great thing about Twitter is that most folks who are on FB aren't on there because "they just don't understand it!" Fine with me.

Agreed. I had a clasp on one of my Browning cameras and tweeted them about it. Had a DM about an hour later wanting my address to send a replacement. Like I said, there are a lot of funny people that it appears spend their entire day tweeting.

I don't like Facebook, too many people peddling crap on there. I have an instagram account. It's like Facebook minus the drama and constant bombardment of people selling stuff.

I was the topic on FB a couple of years ago by a bunch of school moms according to friend of mines wife for asking them not to park in the fire lane.

I was working at a school when the principal asked me was there anything I could do about parents parking in the fire lane for morning and afternoon drop offs. I told her I had no authority to enforce life safety / fire code violations outside of the school but the local fire Marshall could help her. She said that the city was is so politically connected that the Mayors office had told the fire marshall to back off and that the moms didn't pay her or the no parking signs and the red painted curbs any attention. I then said the state fire marshall don't care what the mayors office says or do nor does he care who they are. She then asked if I would be the bad guy that afternoon during pick up and tell these folks they had to move and in the meanwhile she would get word to the state fire marshall if what I did only lasted a day or two.

So I go out there and start telling these Moms politely who I am, present my ID badge and tell them they can't park in the fire lane. I also tell them of the danger it presents by doing so. Good night! You would have thought I had personally insulted them and kicked their lap dog. I was fussed at, told that I had no idea who they were and whom I was talking too! They had been doing this for years and nobody has ever told them they had to pull over to the other side. Some moved and some didn't and some wanted my supervisors name and said they were going to contact my department and complain.

When I walked back into the office I told the principal I didn't see how she had the patients to deal with that. She then said while I was out there asking them to move they were calling her and complaining.

I now know better than to ever get in the school pick up drop off line hornets nest again. School moms will go full ninja on you if you mess with their routines.lol

All that just goes to show you parents aren't hard enough on their kids, and they wonder why Johnny grows up wearing jumpsuits and needing a safe space.

I guarantee you in elementary my parents didn't stress out about what I was going to wear or if my lunch was made. They "stressed" to me that I better not leave for school with my room messy and my bed unmade or if I did don't come home. smile

Them bitches will only go full ninja if some LETS them go full ninja. I will never understand catering to people just because they might make a fuss. That principle needs to get control of her school.

Those are the girls who have been told, since they were about 3 years old, that they are "princesses", and have been treated as such their entire lives. Now, they're "adults" and they still think they're entitled to whatever they want and they blow a gasket when someone has the nerve to tell them otherwise. They literally do not know how to process it.

Cut them some slack. They're just letting "Jodie" know the kids are back in school.

Was a FB member 2.5 hours last week. When I got a "wave" from our old centerfielder and HS running back, it asked me to press some chit to wave back. Sorry Stanley, I don't want that image to follow me til I croak.

I don't get it either. Hell, my first day at a new school was 2nd grade at Robinson Springs in Millbrook. I didn't know what bus to get on to get home. So I'm standing there after school and all the buses and all the kids are gone and I'm the only kid left. I went to the office to call my mom but the principal said he'd drop me off so he'd know what bus route I was on. So he took me home, wrote down what bus to get on from now on and he would tell the driver to pick me up in the morning. When I walked in the back door, mom was there waiting with the proverbial "How'd you get home?" Damn, I was only 8! I made it through life somehow without a helicopter parent.

Joining Facebook was one of the worst decisions I ever made. Several times daily I consider deleting my account altogether.

If it's one of the worst decisions you ever made, I beleive I would have done got rid of it, considering how easy it is to delete.

I don't have Facebook and don't want one.

I don't know whats worse- These moms posting what ever has all of these grown men upset or All of these grown men upset about what some woman posted on social media. I guess everyone just looks to get offended by something. rolleyes laugh

Have no use for fb, I don't give a frak what someone else's business is about, or what they ate for lunch, and yes perch is a princess!

Good luck with that. I had a facebook page years ago that I did nottreally use back then. Relatively recently it was hacked by some chick in Russia. I jumped through hoops trying to gain access to my old account to completely delete it. I even emailed Facebook and told them I wanted it deleted and gone forever! Guess what, it is still out there and I still can't gain access to it to delete the dang thing!!!!

Best one I saw today was some woman from Alabama sitting in the pool on a float with a drink in hand and 3 very disapproving kids with backpacks standing on the edge behind her. It's been shared 11,000 times and the way I saw it was my old PA program director from California shared it.

Finally deported myself from the peoples republik of Kaliforkistan.
