I met Darrell Waltrip and Bill Elliot at the Talledega Speedway. We were surveying/engineering for the new grandstands and several drivers were testing cars. They were friendly and we even got to drive our work trucks on the track. Unfortunately my Chevy K2500 would cut out at 96 mph. BTW, those banked curves are really steep.
Hollywud's FIL also worked wih us over there.

I spent an afternoon with Randy Owen while my neighbor worked on his airplane.
I've been to Eddie Salter's hunting camp a few times.
And NY Mets pitcher Bobby Parnell has been to my hunting camp a couple of times.

I have worked multiple security jobs for fun around birmingham so i have had the opportunity to meet many country, rock, metal, and pop singers. got a hug from kelly clarkson. met Tim and Faith while guarding the tour buses. got to guard kid rocks hot tub behind the stage at oak mountain( that was interesting). Nearly ran up Kevin Van Dams rear in my stratos one year at lay during a classic. so, i had to stop and apologize. rode in a cab with robin williams. sat in sloss with lead singer from slipnot (eww). went on to willy nelsons tour bus to escort him off when he and bob dylan played at the hoover met. his bus was beautiful. would be a nice one to have at the camp. multiple other entertainers. met my fishing idol, rick clunn, yall prob dont know him.

I dated a penthouse lingerie model once. Of course it was a couple years before she actually was modeling. I've been around a few famous people but I've never had the urge to talk to any of them nor have I ever asked for an autograph.

I've never been one to do that much. I have been on a plane with Ronnie Milsap and another time with Crystal Gale. A long time ago, I met and got a picture of me with Mickey Rooney at a trade show where he was working with some bankers and their booth was close to ours. Not a great experience, but it's neat seeing him in those old movies.

I had dinner with Dixiepatriot and his wife back in September. Probably about as high up the popularity chain as I've been or want to go.

For what its worth they are real nice folks and I enjoyed the company.

I don't really consider Alabama governors to be "famous". But, I have met and spoken to everyone since the mod 70s. Wallace, Fob James, Brewer, Folsom, Hunt, Siegleman, Riley, Bentley.

I have met Tim McGraw, Jamey Johnson (drank beer with him several times)Jason Aldean, Randy Owen, Jeff Cook, Hank Jr., Tommy Lee and Perry Ferral (Jane's Addiction) from the Music industry.

Micheal Jordon, Charles Barkley, Sammy Sosa, Bo Jackson, loads of Alabama players, Lee Traveno, Jack Nicholas, Chi Chi Rodriquez. Alonzo Highsmith, Peyton Manning, Archie Manning, from sports.

Several pro fisherman and hunters.

Jennifer Anniston when she came to town with Courtney Cox (she is my cousin). Jennifer Anniston and my wife shared female products with each other in the bathroom at Highlands.

In Decatur, AL? I heard & read about that. I was on the river skiing and kneeboarding that particular day. I've talked with KVD a few times also and ran into 2 other bass pros at Athens Walmart once. Sadly, I can't recall their names at the moment (one was famous for heavy strings and jig fishing) but do recall they wanted to know where to find some goretex gloves.

Sat across the desk from Bear Bryant back in the day when I was getting recruited. Met Johnny Majors. I guess college coaches are the only famous people I ever meet.
