She's going to scour the Keys, phuck up Fort Myers and Naples, and then storm toward the Panhandle - which won't be able to get ready or evac in 1.5 days.

Wife says she is already seeing evacuee prescriptions come into the pharmacy in East Montgomery. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't start seeing gas shortages up this way.

If this thing misses FL completely people will be PISSED at the weather services, government, etc.
If I were one of them; I would be inconvenienced; but thankful. Sit in ~30hrs of traffic jam, chuck $50 out the window every hour, and see if your thankfulness changed.

I have heard that there are stations here that will run out of gas because the trucks that normally deliver here are being sent to Florida. I have no true confirmation on that, but it certainly does not seem out of the realm of possibility.

If ya'll remember Ivan...the entire Gulf had to wait on the turn and Pensacola/Orange Beach was the lottery loser. The track of Ivan continuously nudged west for about 2 days until it settled in on Orange Beach.

I bet there are one heck of a bunch of folks in Houston that wish they had sat in traffic. Sitting in traffic can be inconvenient but nothing like digging thru rubble to find your next meal or your family members.
