I was 16 then. Had a hurricane party at my sister's place in hidden Glen apartments. The next day she was out of power, went back to my parents house in New brocton and power was on. Trailer wasn't even messed up.. Hate to put it on FL folks but sure hope it don't come this way. Maybe it'll go to Mexico and alot of the workers will go back home to rebuild. Then we can build The Wall.

Think I'll watch Key Largo with Bogart tonight. If you haven't seen it, it is a classic about a hurricane in the Keys.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Starting to get a little uncomfortable here in Mobile. Don't think it will come this far west but it needs to start the turn soon. Yep. Don't have to shift much further before the eye will remain in the gulf.

Yep the entire shore of the gulf is still in play. Can the storm coming in behind Irma push her deeper into the gulf?

Hurricanes are low pressure systems. If Jose got close enough to Irma to have any effect on her, it would be to pull, not push...and Irma would have the same effect on Jose...whichever has the lowest barometric pressure wins.

Wow she shifted further west, looks like Florida will be getting eastside of Irma. This is will be very bad.. She still hasn't made the hard turn north yet, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets a little further into the Gulf of Mexico before she does. If that happens, the entire panhandle, and Alabama Gulf Coast may get the bad end of the deal.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

I think it's going to skirt South Florida, intensify and turn north and hit somewhere between Mobile & Panama City. Just a hunch. You hush right now! Sorry Joseph, but the Mobile and Florida Panhandle has been due for some time. I do pray I'm wrong bro. If it happens, call me. You & family are welcome to come to Georgia. If the Port of Alabama takes a direct hit from this storm there will be thousands of square feet of corrugated tin as far north as Conecuh county.

It'd last about as long either way though, them Barker's aren't really made for running.
