Ivan did this exact same thing. It was almost comical watching the NHC keep adjusting their forecast track left over a three day period. Regardless, the Keys are going to get hammered with this one and the left half of Florida is going to get some nasty weather and storm surge.

I hope I don't lose power for awhile so I can watch the color Saturday Gunsmoke on Me TV. Festus is acting marshal. Should be a good one. Pouring rain and wind. Need a break from hurricane coverage. Actually, it's looking more and more like you guys are going to dodge a big bullet, on this one!

GFS has the shifted track west again and the inland track is considerably west, and faster with 70-80mph gusts into North Georgia.
Don't let the momentary weakness fool you. The core is still very much intact and has tightened, which will aid in strengthening. Some models are still getting into sub 900 pressures before landfall. She'll have no problem getting back to Cat 4 strength.

Tornado warning until 2am Sunday one already took down some fences and trees. Depends on which way the hurricane wobbles. They wobble west and east. Keys & Naples/Ft Myers but you never know with these storms. Matthew was coming and jogged. Hopefully we win the lottery again only to wait for Jose
