Have a API Grand Slam Magnum that is my go to climber. Weighs 22 pounds and can sit in it all day . Never gave me a single problem.

There are many good safe stands out there I'm a Summit man ,I have had the Viper Classic and if your going Summit spend the extra if you can for aluminum,,it's much lighter. I personally like the Goliath model the best.
Every day's a gift !

Snowman, you're right. I now have a Treewalker. I had several API's, all old models. Treewalker is lighter than they were. I felt safer with the way the chains conformed to the trees shape. The API's went to crap when Mr Meeks sold them to BassPro. The stands once made in the USA went to China. Mr Meeks sold his company because an idiot misused the free belt stand companies gave and hung his self. Of course in this Country idiots can sue. I think he had to sell the company to pay the decision. I don't care who makes a stand, I won't buy anything my life depends on that is made in or uses parts made in China. You guys should remember the year around 5 Alabama hunters either died or were crippled when Ol'man treestands made in China failed. Hunt Safe

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

I have a Viper SD and a 180 Max, love the both, the 180 max is unreal to sit in, literally can be an all day stand, however it's frame width makes it a little more awkward carry.
I've got an X stand sit and climb for public land hunting that I've modified and it weights in at 14.5 pounds, you don't even know it is there. But it sits like a loc-on, 3 hours is about all I can do comfortably in it.
