About to pull the plug on my first ever ladder stand. Which one would you recommend? Would prefer one sold by Academy, which is closest to me.

I bought two of the Guardian made by Big Game and I think I paid about $120 each. They work just fine and are comfortable

Dick's has them on sale for under $100 ...

The one I'd prefer is millieniun or maybe even a family traditions. But those are really expensive.

Best ones I've ever seen are made by an individual over south of Dothan. We have some that are over 20 years old and are as good as the day they were first put up.

Love me some family tradition stands, but they are very expensive.

Seen many that have been in the woods 15+ years and just as comfortable and sturdy as the day they were put up. They're proud of them though. If money is an issue, get the millenium

I love the 360Degree swivel seat ladderstand. Hunted on one of the power company's hunting property's and sit in one and could have sit all day long.

The academy brand 2 man ladder stands are good for the price and normally can get them for right around $100. I have several of them and they work for me however the seats aren't that great but just buy a extra seat cushion to take in and out with you.

I have wasted a lot of money on ladder stands. I have always bought them and then rarely used them because they are so uncomfortable. I will never buy one again unless it has the sling-type seat like the millenniums. For the money I've wasted I could own multiple millennium stands.

HAWK makes an awesome ladder stand. I have the Denali 1.5 man stand. It is very well built, very comfortable with a wide mesh seat, and reasonably priced. They had some at Cabela's but they may be sold out. A few weeks ago, they had over 20 on the floor and the next week, they were gone.

Another vote for the Hawk Denali. By far the most comfortable ladder stand I've ever sat in.

x3 for the Hawk Denali. Got the 2 man model and it's like sitting in the lazyboy at home. It's a sumbitch to put up bc it's tall and heavy but really nice stand.

I actually saw those outside our Wal Marks. They have the Muddy/Millenium style sling seat. Pretty cheap price for it too.

Field and stream makes a great ladder with a sling type seat for about $150 and they will deliver. If it doesn't have a sling seat I can't sit in it due to back and hip issues. Sling seats are WAY more comfortable.

I may have to try a sling seat. My thought was that it would rot/break easier...

X-Stand "The General" hands down the safest stand on the market. 22' stand and the stand is locked to the tree before you even leave the ground to put straps on top section. The seat is just as comfortable as the millenniums. I have both of them.
