I shop around before I make an investment like $125 an hour. I can operate most any kind of equipment and I found someone who would rent me the machine. I compared the rental cost and fuel and hauling expenses. Then I decided to hire Jon to do the job. If his rates had been $150+per hour I probably would have gone with the rental.
The decision was real close anyway, but after much consideration we decided to hire it.
