What kind of cover would y'all focus on. I've been hearing bridges are big player this time of the year but with 350+ boats you already know everybody and their brother will be fishing those. Focus on areas where the channel swings into the bank. I like outside swings that have a good flat transition to it. The bass will want a good vertical range with shallow water near by to ambush prey. If you can find some of these spots, back way off and sling a trap in there. Play with your retrieve. Some days they like a yo-yo and sometimes they like it fast. If you find one then there will be many more likely. Get a little closer and try picking them off with a jig after youve caught all the fires up ones. I fished between water front and seibold last year during an ultra cold December morning and flat wore them out like this. I also ran an underspin with a cane thumper in the same areas like that and caught a 7.5 and two 5s in less than 10 casts. Gotta figure out if they are aggressive or if they need coaxing first. If they are aggressive the trap should work. If not, throw an underspin and let it fall to the desired depth and roll it back. I also like fishing around rocks with good depth with an a-rig and a square or flat-a

Where's that high school tournament out of? State Park?
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

Gonna be miserable out there tomorrow. Hope everybody finishes safely and catches a bunch.
Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.
