I had heard that the Clift family tried to donate the land to Auburn University at one time..what a shame for such a beautiful farm, traffic is going to be a 10x as horrible as it is through there now, Heard the same thing from a friend of mine who deals with farmers on a daily basis.

I hate to see it happening but it was inevitable. I worked for 4 years in Huntsville and every time I drove past that land I wondered how long it would be before it was sold to developers. I have a friend who farms in Huntsville and I wonder how long it will be before some of the land he leases is gone.
