If you think that deer has been roaming the free woods long enough to get that big then you need your head checked. I'll retract my statment when I see the article of where and what land they were hunting.

I wonder what fence operation he was hunting. I've never heard of or seen Primos hunt in a pen. I'm 99.9% sure this buck was killed in free range. Ms. delta produces some monsters so although the buck is huge it's not shocking considering where it was killed.

Lots of agriculture, good soil, large privately owned tracts of land and management = huge deer.

I took the Primos cameramen fishing this year. They told me that he doesn't even allow the use of poison on the arrows which is legal in Mississippi. I say he killed it legit probably owns the farm where he killed it.

I can PROMISE you this isn't a high fence deer. Where they hunt in MS and LA is very capable of producing deer like this regularly.
Making statements like that is ignorant.

I heard coyotes, it must be a high fence.
If there is any big name hunting industry pro that I would trust in not hunting in a high fence it would have to be Will. I wouldn't doubt anything he does as not being fair chase. I have talked talked to him a couple of times and he was a very nice guy. I would like to share a campfire with him sometime.

I've got an email that says it was killed in Belzoni which is in the delta. This buck is rare b/c of it's mass and main beams. I'm not sure what it will score but I'm sure it will be a lot. This is not a "typical buck" anywhere, midwest or Ms. delta, but 3toe's comment insinuates that a buck can't grow this big in free range which is completely incorrect. Somebody has to be the one to release and arrow or pull the trigger on a record book type buck and it makes more sense that a professional hunter would get the chance to kill than a weekend warrior. 3toe, just admit your wrong and move on :-)
